Feliz Navidad

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Scouting,

The year 2011 has come to the end, and it has been  and it has been a very active year for all of us. Big camps  with a lot of participants, some training courses in the different regions, support of our members in several countries, some Good Turn and Penny Actions and a lot more had been organized by our different Regional Councils.

The highlights of the year was for sure the World Jamboree and the World Congress hosted in Puebla / Mexico; which was very well organized and where we welcomed a lot of enthusiastic scouts. The Jamboree Team did an outstanding good job to prepare and host this Jamboree – thank you very much for that.

Many new associations have joined our Federation and we welcome them one and all into our worldwide Scouting Family.

Some members of Regional Councils, has been elected for the first time and we wish them a lot of enthusiastic spirit for their future work – here it is also time to say “Thank you” for helping and working for the World Federation of Independent Scouts.

It is time now to take care for our associations’, groups, individual members and families and to remember the spirit of scouting.

Thank you for being part of our Scouting family.

In the name of the WFIS Council, we wish you and also your members.

A merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Yours in traditional Scouting

Klaus Tegeder – President WFIS World Council
